A feature story and album reviews!
June 26th, 2018
There was a feature story on me in the La Crosse Tribune a few weeks ago! I had a fun interview with writer Randy Erickson about my new album Hinterlands, and my work on Beer And Board Games, Chad Vader, and other music and video projects:
Hinterlands was also reviewed in the spring issue of the magazine The Big Takeover! Editor/writer Jack Rabid describes my album as “honing a shivering, glacial beauty,” and I’m truly honored. Look for it at Barnes And Noble and other fine book and music stores…
Lawrence Gann from Isthmus called Hinterlands a “Midwestern night’s dream” and said that it excels at creating an atmosphere, evoking the feeling of frozen plains and sweltering days of summer.” Full review here:

Veronica Rueckert from Wisconsin Public Radio was also kind enough to describe Hinterlands as having “a gorgeous, melancholy, evocative sensibility. Beautiful songwriting and singing.”
And a kind gentleman who purchased my album said that it reminded him of the Tom Waits quote “I like beautiful melodies telling me terrible things…”
